@happilyretiredgirl Is he from New England? I've never heard of that combination. We had just the baked beans on white bread.

@happilyretiredgirl  Well, he certainly has a new take on the bean sandwiches. I would eat applesauce on the side,but not slices of onion. Our onions were cooked with the beans. It's an old fashioned recipe very much like the Durgin Park restaurant which closed a few years ago after 200. I loved going there.
