Has anyone else noticed that these candles don't have a clean burn anymore?

Yes.  I could not believe the amount of black soot on my A/C filters!  I switched from burning them to using a candle lamp.  Same great fragrance throw and no more black A/C filters.

An estimated 700,000 people around the world, 400,000 of them children, have died so far due to the discontinuation of the USAID program.

I never burn his candles. I use a candle warmer lamp. I prefer wax melts.

@River Song

 I first noticed it on the glass part of the candle.

Yep, me, too.  Also noticed soot on the glass sleeve of one of his hurricanes.  Then, I looked at the A/C filters and was really alarmed.  I immediately stopped burning the candles and purchased a candle lamp.

I went to BBW yesterday with all my coupons and free reward and a bill that would have been 70+ dollars was 16.84.

Got 2 three wick candles and 2 16oz body lotions.  Both the clerk and I went WOW.

Showed 70+ on tag before all the discounts and free body lotions (2}.Candles are normally 25 ea.  On sale for 13.95 ea. and then coupons kicked in. Lotions free. My rewards with coupon. It felt like Christmas.

Honestly, I don't believe they've ever burned as clean as they are advertised to.  I've bought them several times, at first had the black soot when burned.  I figured I was doing something wrong, so watched the videos and listened to the presentations, only to find that if you don't clean the little wicks from the previous burn, the soot gets heavier and heavier.  Disgusting.  I don't buy them any longer.

I find the scents interesting. I've tried Spring, Fall and Holiday scents. Very faint throw. They seem to just burn down faster with the four wicks. So many say they are not the  same  as past years. I am tired of taking the chance. Reviews are so mixed here.

I gave up and have other brands that are cheaper, better throw, cleaner and longer lasting. No matter what fancy container or celebrity hawk... I am finished.

Last week received my BOGO box from B&B with three rewards. Even Wal-Mart has 22 oz. Yankee Candles for $20. Occasionally I have found Woodwick for $24 that sound like a  small crackling fireplace.
