@SharkE   I'm watching our local weather forecast and they showed on radar a huge smoke plume East of Amarillo called  a pyro-cumulus cloud.  It's caused by a huge grass fire and it's moving East.  It's so big and powerful it's causing lightening which will spark more fires.  Scary stuff.  We're under extreme fire danger here.  We've had 3/4" of rain since September.  About 4" would be normal.  Praying for a great monsoon season starting July first.

@nana59.  No, it's moving away from Sharke in Amarillo and is nowhere me in Albuquerque.   There are some small towns and lots of livestock out there.

@nana59.  Thank you and send some of your rain this way.  I had a new roof put on my house June 5, 2017, and have not had enough rain to tell if there are any leaks.

Those needing rain.........bring your bucket or pail to NYS tonight starting at midnight - help yourself....plenty for all - - rain all morning & most of day.........more on Mother's Day.  Perhaps sun in the afternoon.

(I couldn't live without rain & downpours - love to sit on screened porch and hear the....ping-ping-ping on the metal roof.  Ahhhh)

Yikes ! Glad I wasn't aware of any of this going on. I never worried

about fires when I was up in Ind. since I moved down here I'm a nervous wreck about them.

People just don't take the subject seriously enough. Throw a cig out the car window, grill out and hamburger grease flickers unto the dry 'grass' if U want to call that yellow stuff grass and there U go.

Poor ol' Doppler Dave on the local news preaches himself hoarse on the dangers.

Thanks for the tip. You ever figure out Facebook on that link I sent ?

LOL
