Have you tried cleaning it out?  Sometimes you get dust inside where the bobbin sits.

@Irishgirl555, don't know if you have given up but could you check the area on top of the machine where you refill the bobbin. Push the silver bobbin refill holder to the left. If it's push to the right by accident and there isn't a bobbin and you press the pedal to sew, the machine won't move.
