I hope the family has contacted hospice.  We lost our 33 yr old son to cancer on 12/10/10.  It was so difficult for us to see our son go downhill physically in such a short time, 190 lbs. to 114.  Just give your employee a big hug -- no words are necessary to her, except that I'm praying for you.  May God give her the strength for her and her husband and family.  Our faith is the only thing that has sustained us and I know for sure I will see my son again in heaven.
