Now I give myself the romantic Valentine's Days that I want- last year I got myself lacey red and pink lingerie sets, See's candy, a heart shaped mini chocolate cake from the grocery store, and pink roses. I'm going to spend the rest of tonight cooking dinner and watching tv. Happy Valentine's day, ladies!

Just another greeting card "holiday" --I don't put much stock into the silly importance this day is given. And if I thought I was feeling left out--I would buy myself some flowers---and I always have premium chocolate on hand. Had a spouse of 47 years that didn't acknowlege ANY special event--b-days, anniversaries,holidays etc--so never expected anything--I made sure my 2 kids were remembered -tho----am sorry this day makes so many single people feel bad----

@Estellee  Thank you, Estellee 🤗💖! I love that you and your gal pals went out to lunch and discovered that the restaurant was filled with tables of gal pals celebrating Valentine's Day! It really is all about having fun.  My gal pal was going to be  busy at work for Valentine's Day, so I took her out to the botanical garden last Saturday.  I suprised her with a Valentine's Day gift: a Bare Minerals lipstick that I gift wrapped for her   I'm very glad that you also had a great Valentine's Day yesterday, Estellee!

@SportyShorty07 , I have said this before, you are the sweetest person!  You definitely have the right idea of waiting for the "special someone."  You deserve the best!

I have done some of the same things in years past.  I didn't expect my husband to be a mind reader and get me all the things I may want.  He does wonderful things for me all throughout the year, so if he forgets a card or chocolates, no big deal!

I would have loved to have had you for a friend when I was younger, I think you would have been a hoot!  I am short too, so we could have shopped in the petite section all day long!

We'd have a blast in the clothing racks of the petite section and we probably wouldn't be able to see each other over the tall racks of the petitie section 😉- but it would be a very fun time, that's for sure 😄🙌💯. I'm 4'11"- shout out to the short girls! 

     I also really appreciate your sentiments about my deserving a great guy! I'll definitely let you know when I put myself back out there and find a great guy!  I'm so glad that your husband is a great guy and does wonderful things for you through out the year- he must have such a great and fun marriage with you as his wife! I took a friend out that lost her husband last year, of 50 plus years. Our restaurant was packed with lots of women also. There was one gentleman that bumped into me as he was leaving and he treated us to dessert!  I gave my friend a red miniature rose bush to plant in her yard! She loved it! She was so pleased of the out pouring of love she received! I was surprised by a few co workers gave me Amazon gift cards!  It was a great day!

When I arrived at the Casino, about two hours before the event, since I wanted to get decent parking. I decided to get a bite to eat. I went to one of the food area's and ordered via a computer screen, and waited for it to be prepared and receive a text that my order was ready.

There was a lady sitting by herself at a table, and I asked her if she minded if I joined her. She told me not a problem, I sat down and we talked for over an hour.  We laughed and talked about different things. She was later joined by her friends, it turns out she was just resting.  I left after meeting them, but I had a lovely dinner with a perfect stranger.  

Diana was absolutely awesome. She still has the voice and is still a Diva. Three outfit changes. :-)

Even though I attended by myself I did not feel alone. I had a great time. Dancing, and singing out of tune.
