A few years ago, we started a tradition in my office. It is a lot of fun, and it helps you participate in the day. Several days before Valentine's Day, everyone receives a small lunch-size paper bag to decorate and place on their desk. We go out and buy a bag of candy, and on the day, you drop a piece of candy in everyone's bag, or a Valentine's card, or if you lean more towards the healthy side of things, a piece of fruit or non-candy item. This way, we all feel special on the day. It's a lot of fun, and everyone, even married folks, participates.

I forgot to add that last year, I participated in a Galentines event, and lastly, do something for yourself today. I am personally, after working, heading to see Diana Ross in concert tonight as a treat to myself. One of my co-workers took the day off and has turned it into a spa day for herself. Make it fun. Especially since it's on a Friday.

@Luvsmyfam You aren't alone in not having your Valentine. I lost my Valentine and the love of my life last year after 42 years. The party is over with.

Had neighbors bring me flowers and a card today and my care giver brought me flowers and a balloon too.

I did better today than I thought I would. I just remembered some of those Valentines I had with my hubby. He was always so thoughtful. Better at those things than I was.

My friend at work filled my candy cup up with chocolate hearts. I had told her one thing I always received was chocolates. She left early for a date with her hubby. She said I wonder what he has planned and rolled her eyes. She said whatever it is I will pretend I like even if I don't. Then we chuckled. She is a character. The guy deserves a medal.

The weather is cold and windy here and supposed to snow again. Awful night for those going out.

I myself have the fireplace going, enjoying Chinese and a glass of wine and going to finish watching my show on Netflicks. Cozy and my critters relaxing with me. Not bad at all.

Happy Valentine to all of us. This too shall pass.
