  Mums

We were to farmer's market this morning and bought mums in purple, pink and white (with yellow center).  We love mums and our summer flowers are looking poorly and need to be replaced soon.  If it's not too much sun it's too much rain.

Ed loves baby back ribs so bought rack and will make them in Ninja for supper.  Will also make baked potato and sweet corn to go with them.

I have two pans of zucchini banana bread in the oven. ( Option in recipe said you could substitute 1 cup banana for oil so I tried this.)  It smells so good while baking and will be done soon.

We haven't gotten much rain yet.  But it's really hot and humid and they're calling for strong T-storms this afternoon.  Alfie is still waiting for the school buses; I have a feeling school started mid morning when we were at the market.  We'll watch for them around 3:00.

clothes on line,have to get them down .

got walk in this morn, took package back to post office. dh got a watch from Evine and watch was defective, he is hoping the next watch will be in better shape.

Good morning everyone, a rainy day here and the storms were loud last night while trying to sleep-blew my large outdoor clock off the wall and dented it up good. Got a bunch of errands done yesterday, stocked up on food so I don’t have to get groceries for a month. Yes I live close to town but I hate grocery shopping. I heard you all talking about peaches so I had to buy two small lugs of them. I can just start to smell them ripening, such a wonderful fragrance. Thank you for the peach envy! Going out to supper tonight with brother and sister, our way of staying close and in touch. Then company coming tomorrow. I am glad I got my bathing suit on after running around yesterday and swam by myself for half an hour, then a bit of paddle boarding- looks like the weather turning fallish so need to squeeze summer fun in while I can. Have a great day all!

I just took two zucchini banana breads from the oven.  Our retirement complex had a peach party yesterday so we had all things peach -- sundaes, pie, peaches and cream, peach lemonade, sliced peaches, etc.  Yummy. 

Our family goes out to eat together the second Tuesday of each month.  I started this many years ago so that we could all get together at the same time.  Whoever has a birthday that month selects the restaurant.  I'm the youngest of six and three of us still go along with spouses.  We're known to close restaurants for the evening; we have so much to talk about.    One sister lives in Pittsburgh, one is in assisted living and my oldest brother died 9 years ago.  I miss him terribly.  Sometimes nieces and nephews join us too; they are always welcome.
