Love this picture for so many reasons! Reminds me of my grandmother who baked all the time and who we could not leave for home unless we stopped back to pick up a pie on our way out of town. Pies made out of love. ALSO, call me strange but that big bug on the work table and those marching ants going across the pathway surely depicts beautiful summer country life!

I am just old enough and lived in a small Iowa town with a bustling Woolworths to remember sitting on a stool and getting a malt made in one of those shiny big silver tumblers. My mom would tell me that she worked there when she was young after school and on weekends. As a child I could always find something in one of the aisles to spend my ten cents on.
