Fur-Day Morning Greetings
Wishing all of my beautiful SBTL
sisters a very peaceful,beautiful
and blessed day and that it marks
the beginning of a very peaceful,
beautiful and blessed week-end.
Sending out more healing prayers
and positive energy to those of
you and/or to the members of your
families or to your precious furbabies
who are still in need.
My heart and my prayers remain
with @mousiegirl,her family,the people,
the brave firefighters and the animals
(pets,farm animals,those in animal
shelters and wild animals) who are
still dealing with the horrific and deadly
fires that continue to ravage California.
I was watching GMA earlier this
morning and when they showed the
charred remains of what had been a
farm with many animals I broke down
and cried.

@beastielove I am not in the area of the fires, they are farther North and along the hills running from there all the way down to Santa Cruz, but we do smell and see the smoke from our home. I always also think of the poor animals, trapped with no one to help them out of harms way.

What age are you actually considered a Senior Citizen? Some places it is 55, others 60, 62, 65 or 67.
@Sassy7356, When I was younger, I use to think that a Senior would be age 65, the age of retirement. Now, maybe person to person. My mother worked for the government for 40 years and they made her retire when she turned 70. I worked three manufacturing jobs and my body is worn out at age 63/64. I have a very youthful mind but my body is a senior. What do you think? SC
@Sweet Caroline 1 I always think of 65 as being a SC. But, believe one is only as old as they feel.

DD emailed late last night asking about the fires. Apparently, there are bad fires in Colorado now, and she can also smelll and see the smoke, how ironic. I read that the lightning we had Saturday night started some of the fires in my county. I saw the lightning from my bed, and after a while, decided I should close the window. 82 today, so dropping a few degrees every day for a short while.
I decorated my first Fall tree this week. It is skinny with twigs in it, but picks are making it a bit wider. I knew it was a skinny tree, but didn't realize how skinny until I began decorating. If I were decorating the back of the tree, I would be able to fit all of the tree decor on, but am only decorating the front and sides, so will have some left over.
Happy weekend to all.
