Staying home and keeping Molly company. Our lights flashed a few times and it's raining...harder rain and thunder predicted until 4PM.

What's happening in your neck of the woods?

@Shanus , No storms predicted in southern NY state, but boy is it raining. !  It rained all day yesterday, and it is pouring today and probably tomorrow mixed with snow showers. Nothing awful, just gloomy and messy. ☔️🌧️☔️

We had snow yesterday, 4/2, a high of 36, and 20 mph sustained winds. More of the same expected today. I'm in the midwest.

I didn't check the weather and had a list of outside things to do. Woke up to alert on my phone that we're on a tornado watch. As soon as it was light out, went and threw out some fertilizer to take advantage of possible rain today. I'll be finding something inside to do. Just packed away my Easter bunnies yesterday so will fill up the spaces they were using. Hope everyone is safe today, these springtime storms can be brutal.

Re: STORMS TODAY IN NC

[ Edited ]

I'm so sorry to hear about everyone being affected by these terrible storms.  We had a terrible time in Nashville heading back north to Ky yesterday after a long drs appointment.

We were actually caught in a major tornado warning during heavy rains.  Between LaFollette and Jellico, we were on the interstate when one touched down in a community.  It was a long stretch on highway where there was absolutely nowhere to take shelter.  Our phones were going off like crazy, saying to to shelter immediately.  We were very lucky.  I was going to post about this, but I included it here.

Please stay safe and ready to take shelter if needed.❤️❤️❤️

@Shanus We're south of Monroe in NC.  About 3-3:30 we had thunder/lightening so bad/close that our house shook. The rain just poured down.

Right now, almost noon, it's drying off and a bit sunny. and no chance of rain for the rest of the day.

@cindyNC   Yay for Monroe. I went to Wingate College before UNC. Loved the school and spent a lot of time in Monroe since so many years ago there was literally nothing in Wingate. Lol
