@possummink  Last night when I took Snickers out at 11, I had to look for th moon among tall trees also. When it appeared the shadow of the earth was in front! I agree it was eerie, gave me goosebumps, ha! 
    I'd had dinner out with my son and family and mentioned the eclipse to my granddaughter, so when we came inside I texted both my son and her. She sent photos back of the moon and Cora with her. My son sent  one also. He remembered to watch the moon. 
   When he was two I got him a book on astronomy. He was fascinated with the planets and knew all about them. (He could read anything at age 2). 
   I knew you'd be watching that same moon! It was beautiful!

   I hope your grandson and his wife are better now, take care!

Gathering glass coke bottles, and selling them at the local grocery store. Then a fun trip to the five and dime to buy candy with the money. I did this many times with my brother.

@Puddles  When I was in grade school on Sundays, when stores were closed back then, I used to go with my dad to the grocery store he ran. He would give me an ink stamper and I would stamp the prices on can goods...no electronic scanning back then. After we were done I got to choose some bagged candy then picked out the latest Mad magazine as my reward.
