Hobby Lobby in the fabric section or the ever dwindling cross stitch section.

Aldis during Christmas and Easter. Love the speciality sweets. (German and Belgium.) I dont go often as an hour away and don't have a family to feed any more. Last year I made surprise Easter baskets for two neighbor children and two baskets for adult couples with dogs and cats included. I think they all liked the gesture.

I love to browse in person, a well curated Christmas display. It takes me back in time......to a happier place.

I need a whole day at Hobby Lobby! This summer I took the grandkids, and they wanted everything!

I don't physically shop anymore. My back can't make it to the front door. But, when I did shop, my favorite, feel good place was a children's boutique in Tyler called Storkland and one called Grandchildren's. Even tho it was a baby Sephora inside Pennys, that was another happy place to shop. Hobby Lobby. I've been shopping online for so long, it's hard to even visualize in-store shopping. I don't miss it.

In-store - Barnes and Noble...
DH & I like to go a few times a year and we can easily spend an hour or two there...time flies! We usually enjoy a large black coffee in the small Starbuck's cafe before we leave too ![]()

When I shop any of the following companies, I know the money is made and used by by people living and working here. Some are people in my own state and county. That makes me feels better.
Fawbushes online, but they have a store or two in MN I think. Huge collection of clothes and accessories, from a selection of USA made and designed, sustainable, many woman owned, smaller clothing companies. Unique as well.
Chalet et Ceci For me, this is my go to place each season for designed, made and sewn in California clothing! The fabric is made in US as well. Comfy, unique boho-ish style. Many basics. Love their fabric. Lasts forever as well.
Shopmyfairlady. Husband and wife owned business, online only. Wide, extensive collection of clothing made in US, small designers, wearable sustainable clothing. This is the most moderately priced with great sales for this type of clothing.
FYI all these places have wide selection of sizes from xs to plus sizes. I love these shops. I never pay shipping, if over a certain amt, and if I do it's like 7-9 bux tops for whole order. Items come within 4 days, and great return policy. Never a problem. Also, when I needed help someone at company answers phone during business hours. lol. That's a plus!!!
