Oh geez!!! I have my hair appointment at 9AM for a cut (not short...my usual mid-neck bob) and low lights. It's going to rain all day. Well, there goes a good blowout. I have several errands to do afterwards, so a ponytail it will be by the end of the day. I always take my tote bag w/ magazines, glasses case and a pouch for my hearing aids, so I guess my little umbrella goes in there, too. 

We received an invitation to my cousin's twins' B'nai Mitvah on Novemeber 23rd. When a boy or girl turns 13, they are called to the Torah to cross over to adulthood. They conduct Friday night and Sat. morning services. It's boy and girl twins. The weekend includes parties, too. It's quite a celebration. I'm looking forward to being with my family who live only 2 1/2 hrs. away who number about 30!! The others are all in NY (Manhatten as DH calls it) or FL.

Hug your friends and relatives. I've lost two friends that were my age on Tues. and Wed. We had been close for all 50 yrs. we've lived here. Both have had multiple cancers, hospice and a lot of  suffering. It's a relentless disease. Funerals on Sunday and Monday.

Relax and enjoy your weekend. Francine is brutal and fires on the west coast...again. Please stay safe.

Good morning.  I too am on my way out the door.  Trying to get an early grocery shopping in today.  Tomorrow DH and I are spending the day in Jamestown, beautiful area in our little state of RI.  It's Beavertail state park right on the ocean with a gorgeous big old lighthouse on a rocky coastline.  We haven't spent much time at the water this summer so we have brunch at 10:00 then on to the park.  The weather in September has been lovely here.
