Shabbat Shalom and happy Friday to everyone. Welcome to our thread where we share thoughts and plans for this beautiful fall weekend.

We have early voting in NC and I'm going today. Then flu shots on Sunday which knocks me off my feet and in bed for several days. It's the same with all vaccines. Yuck!!!

Our huge pumpkin has it's place of honor on the front porch. My straw "people" flank the front door and huge bags of candy wait on the pantry shelf for all the kids in our neighborhood. 

Asheville and nearby areas of NC are still w/o water and power. All my garage sale items went to them instead. Florida is also devastated and people displaced. Please do what you can to help.

@Shelbelle   I put several tree/shrub branches from our yard, add a string of fairy lights on our screened porch which makes a great sukkah. It's chilly sometimes by dinner time, but a quick glass of wine, cheese and crackers out there before dinner and we've celebrated the holiday.

Shabbat Shalom!  Tomorrow, following our Shabbat service, we will be having a Kiddush in the Sukkah.  We can either eat in the Sukkah or in the dining hall. I helped decorate the Sukkah so if it's not too chilly, I'll probably try to eat there.  Good Shabbos to all.

Hi my friends!   What a beautiful day today!   I was out quite early this morning doing errands with DH.  Just returned home, kicked off my shoes and going to put on some QVC.   It's DH's birthday today so we went out for a nice breakfast too!   No big plans for the weekend, weather is supposed to be nice so it'll be good to open a couple of windows.  Love letting the fresh air in.  Have to enjoy the last warmth of the season in the northeast.

We just sent another donation to help with the hurricane's.   So sorry for all in such distress.

Hope I make it here before sundown.  Shabbat Shalom to everyone. 

I had a nerve block done Thursday for my knee.  The Valium they gave me worked well, almost too well!  We waited to be discharged & finally went home. I slept the 15 minute car ride home & in my recliner for several hours.  Friday was better & today ok. Actually feeling much less pain so fingers crossed!
