*****SHABBAT SHALOM MARCH 21ST*****

Shabbat Shalom and welcome again to this inclusive Friday thread.

No special plans this weekend. The store that's taking our big furniture will be ready to come for it in the next few weeks. The upstairs is almost cleared out, so we'll work on the downstiars...everything we're not currently using...on Sunday. DH is working on tax returns tomorrow, so I'll do some packing in the kitchen. I bet all of you are as tired as I am hearing/thinking about this upcoming move.

I'm wishing everyone a safe, relaxing and stress free weekend. We all need a break from the chaos around us.

Shanus Heart

Good morning all.   Wishing everyone a great weekend.  This is a busy one for me.   Have a number of errands,  appointments and dinner with friends tomorrow night and breakfast with a girlfriend on Sunday,  which is always so much fun.

Be safe and happy.   Enjoy the better weather to come... soon,  I hope (we had snow yesterday morning!).

Good morning @Shanus .  Still wishing you well with the big move.

I'm up bright and early as I have to go to the grocery store then on to DS's house to take care of the cats.  He left for a vacation for the week for his 40th birthday on the 25th.......ouch.   Funny how it hits you when the "kids" turn 40.  DD is 41, guess I'm feeling nostalgic this morning.......

Anyway quiet weekend on tap other than the pet sitting.  Supposed to have dinner with friends tomorrow but I am contemplating canceling.  We were out last weekend and I think I caught something as I haven't been feeling well this week.  Just a bit of a cold.

I hope everyone has a safe, peaceful weekend.

Crazy windy here this morning.

Not sure what our weekend plans are. We were going to see friends but will wait to see what the weather will bring as they live over 2 hours away.

March is such an unpredictable month as far as weather goes.

@nyc1   I almost forgot that we were invited to a small group dinner birthday party at an upscale restaurant.....glad we're not getting the check. Lol. We've known these 3 couples for almost 40 yrs. so should be a fun evening.

Snow in March? Happy to be down south. We  are just having horrible pollen!!!

@LindaSal   Thanks Linda ....so far just the packing, donating, selling, consigning is horrific!!!

Our "kids" are 52 and 53...yes, a year apart and a girl and boy!!! It's a definitely a shocker when their birthdays roll around.

@Shanus

Your move is on steroids compared to the one that just hit me !  While in FL this winter, we decided it would be proactive to find a first floor condo.  After literally hours on the real estate web, we came up with 5 places that were within budget, first floor, end unit and mostly furnished.

They accepted our counter offer and now the "take down" for staging our condo has begun.  DH found a load of big bins and we spent this AM washing and drying them.  I had already used the middle bedroom / den to stash various categories that are going to the new place.  The front guest bedroom's walk-in closet is packed but the room is camera ready.  Our master bedroom is camera ready since they don't open the drawers !

Crazy-making: we leave for home up North mid-April.  Our realtor is great and is an associate of the realtor who helped us buy our condo 13 years ago. This should help until we come back for Settlement mid-May.

Our downstairs neighbor here has connected us to her handyman who lives closeby and has worked with her for years.

All this will calm down when we start unpacking after Settlement and settling in before the high humidity of Summer rolls in.

Meanwhile, I am following your journey...exhausting isn't it!

Little did I know in January that I would be on a similar cruise !

Re: *****SHABBAT SHALOM MARCH 21ST*****

@jlkz   It would have been less exhausting if we'd decided to sell 10 yrs. ago. Lol. Now the search was daunting since needed a one floor apartment with grass space for Molly and more square footage that was usually in townhouses with a second floor.

Yes, boxes, bins are everywhere and that makes it difficult for me since I'm super organized and a neat freak!!
