Hello everyone, I'm a little late today but I have been playing nurse for my daughter since Wed.  She is staying with us as she had a hysterectomy.  She's just 40 years old but has had many years of difficulty.   I'm timing the meds, cooking extra food and assisting her in freshening up (got to love those Beekman wipes)!   She is not able to shower until tomorrow.  She is doing fairly well though and a good sport so that's half the battle.  So that being said, it's what I'll be doing all weekend long........it's okay though, I'm enjoying having her here, just hoping for a quick recovery for her.

@Shanus thank you for this week's inclusive thread.   The causes/interests I volunteer for/with  involve the subjects and topics that make the news. So, I am unable to turn it off as much as I'd like.  But, when I feel my brain melting down, I do. It helps,  and always long before bed.  

@LindaSal I wish your daughter a speedy recovery.   

My pup is having her teeth cleaned as I post this.  The house is so very quiet without her. I can't wait to pick her up very soon. 

I hope you have a moment to yourself this weekend to recharge for the coming week. 

Today is National Donut Day.  Enjoy one or three  with a cup of coffee or tea.

Shabbat Shalom and Happy Weekend!  So much crazy weather around the country.  I hope you all are able to stay comfortable, especially getting relief from the heat.

DH is participating in a club fishing contest this weekend.  I will be meeting up with some gal pals for lunches both days!  Maybe some shopping too.

@LindaSal   Mom's are the best nurses no matter how grown up our kids become. Hopefully your daughter will be feeling better soon...showers always help!
