*****SHABBAT SHALOM. JUNE 28TH*****

Happy Fiday morning and Shabbat Shalom.

I stayed up very late watching and digesting what most folks were watching on TV last night. Upsetting to say the least.

Very sick children were taken out of captivity yesterday and transported to hospitals to receive much needed care and some requiring chemo. I cried watching them being carried to ambulances and buses.

We're having a sad weekend. Tomorrow is the funeral of a long time  (50 years) friend. DH was very close to him as a friend and collleague and I was friends with his wife. We were also quite involved in each other's lives....attending  weddings, graduations of our kids and now passing away and helping her to grieve and try to move on without her husband of 55 years. The "circle of life", right?

Storms later today. The rain even if not much is badly needed here.

I'm wishing everyone a happy and relaxing weekend. Please hug your loved ones. You just never know if it will be the last time.

Shanus Heart

Good morning all.   HAPPY FRIDAY and weekend.   Stay safe and enjoy.

@Shanus   I am so sorry for your loss.

We watched last night as well and flipped to various stations to get different views of the horror we saw.  Everyone from every side was saying the same thing.  When does that ever happen???

@nyc1   Thanks for your kind thoughts. Heart

I'm sure the "buzz" from last night will continue for weeks and I'll return to my 15 minute limit of news each day.

I forgot to add that I have my granddaughters this weekend. We'll be baking challahs this afternoon and have a shabbat dinner before Temple.

I'm taking them to the gallery tomorrow after the funeral to  see Grandma's name up in lights (not really lights), but posted before you enter the area where my paintings are exhibited. My younger one who's already 12 is also a wonderful artist. She always runs up to my studio and graduated from her cabinet of "these supplies only" to the run of the studio using the "big girl paper and canvases" and professional paints.

Re: *****SHABBAT SHALOM. JUNE 28TH*****

Good morning everyone Smiley Happy    I was up bright and early, not unusual for me but it's a nice morning.  Much cooler out, a beautiful welcomed 57 degrees......woohoo!   We had some brutal thunderstorms on Wed night and lost our power for about 10 hours.   We are in for another round on Sunday.

I'm busy packing for another vacation, this time we are off to Iceland on Tuesday.  We are doing a cruise around the island for 10 days, really looking froward to it but it's a challenge packing for much cooler weather and some locations actually cold! (40's)  It's an adventure for sure, whale watching on a zodiac raft, yikes, yes I said raft.    Also some serious hiking on lava rock, on and on........I don't know what DH is thinking but it will be interesting!

@Shanus Very sorry for the loss of your dear friend.  I know you will get some comfort with being with your granddaughters this weekend.   I wish you a safe and happy time together.  Prayers go out to all of you as always.
