Shabbat Shalom and welcome to Friday and less flooding in my area. Storms still in the forecast so fingers crossed for all of us having really bad weather.

We're all settled in and enjoying the freedom of not worrying about the gardening, yard, house cleaners, etc. The realtor took that all over. There have been many viewings and positive feedback. Three months free rent came w/ signing the lease here, so not concerned. 

The complex is 21 and over (we're over, lol). It's nice not to have all bikes and scooters to watch out for when driving here. 

A group of couples our age met up yesterday at the wine tasting party here. The fellow in charge owns a local wine bar and was quite knowledgeable about wine and the presentation and tastings were fun. We all had a good laugh because after the 5th or 6th tiny glass of wine, I was getting tipsy. I opted out and just watched the last several tastings.

Back to weather. My favorite shopping center (ULTA and Trader Joe's), our local mall and my favorite steak house there were all flooded so badly it could be a very long time (if ever) it will be open again. The cars had water up to the windows and the stores and merchandise were in ruins. I know TX was hit much worse, so I consider us lucky. More storms predicted here over the weekend and through next week. Fingers crossed no more flooding since ground is already soaked.

I pray everyone in TX recovers their loved ones and somehow, in time, the people accept the losses and rebuild their properties.

@Shanus, glad you are getting settled. How is Molly now adjusting? Enjoy the weekend and hope your weather settles down. Here in Pa. we've finally gotten out of a drought in my area, now it seems it rains all the time, though nothing like Texas and N.M. Seems like Philly area is getting dumped on more. Take care.

@catter70   Molly's loving her elevator rides and the bell ringing when the door opens. Sometimes there's a surprise and another dog is on the way down when the door too so they can greet each other.

It has been a hectic week here trying to catch up at work and home after returning from our Family Vacation. The storms have been crazy. They have slowed down but it still rained all day yesterday. Prayers sent to all who are experiencing the horrific flooding and the aftermath.

Hi everyone, 

Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend.  

It's HOT and HUMID, very TROPICAL , in CNY.  In my house, it's called GROSS! lol lol  The ac is set to meat locker and I'm comfortable. lol 

@Shanus   thank you for this week's thread.   I'm so pleased your pup is adjusting well. 

It's been a full time job keeping the flowers, landscaping and lawn hydrated during these hot and humid days. I wish those with extra water could share with me. I'd be happy to share some dryer weather with you. 

I wish you a week with less stress, more relaxation, and peace.
