Among Friends

Shabbat Shalom...the first Friday in 2025. All are welcome to join here whether or not you observe Shabbat. I'd love to hear what you've been up to or have planned for the coming week or month.

Still drops in left eye 4 times a day...I'm a "blinker" so I get the stuff running down my face. At least the right eye is finished. 

My GDs are coming for dinner and Temple. I think at 13 and 16, my DS and DIL are eager for a break when they're willing to leave their friends and sleepovers. As always they want their Grandma's matzah ball soup and I keep my chicken stock in the freezer for these requests. Since they'll be arriving after school, they want to help out.

No plans except packing more stuff this weekend and this is just the stuff there's no chance of taking with us. 

So, Happy 2025 and a restful weekend from our home to yours.

Good morning.  January is a quiet month for us, time to hibernate in the northeast!   It's gotten quite chilly here again but seems we'll be missing the giant snow storm coming across the belt, supposed to mainly be south of us.   For all in the path, be careful!

No real plans going on for a couple of weeks.  I'm going to use this time to slowly start dismantling all of the Christmas decor.   Sad to see another year go but welcoming the new one.

Safe weekend vibes sent to all.

We are expecting a small snow storm today and a larger one on Monday.

We are on the Bay very close to the Ocean so the salt air USUALLY prevents us from getting a large amount of snow that sticks....but you never know. We have been fooled many times.

@catter70   Absolutely!! I've always lived near my family or close enough to drive to them and back in one day....except whe my kids lived in VA, both of them. We'd go up on Fri. morning and home on Sunday night. Then when my DS moved down here to help me with his Grandma and I also had my GDs here, it was a given to stay nearby.

Of course they'll go off to school, but when they come home, I'll be close by to visit.
