*****SHABBAT SHALOM. JAN. 10TH*****

Shabbat Shalom and Happy Friday. Welcome to our friendly weekend gathering.

Big Day for me!! Last post op eye apointment and vision check to get my new glasses. Then a week to ten days until they get here. The appt. is 8:30 and if I rush, I can get it all done and a celebration lunch out before the messy weather begins.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend with time to relax and pray for those in the path of CA fires. It looks like the area was hit with a bomb. I'm heart broken for those families who lost everything important to them.

Re: *****SHABBAT SHALOM. JAN. 10TH*****

Not too busy this weekend at all.   Going to visit with my DD today for awhile, she has Fridays off, stop at the market on the way home and gear up for a big football weekend!

We are in a strange weather pattern and will once again miss the current snow storm that is tracking east!   Very unusual as they most always take a turn north and the same thing happened last week.   So I say to our friends to the south of New England, be safe and careful!

@Shanus Hope you have a great appointment this morning!  Good luck Smiley Happy

It is frigid here and the high winds have been nonstop all week. We have about 7 inches of snow on the ground and a few more inches predicted tonight. The Bay is covered in ice. I am ready for Spring!

Prayers sent to all who so desperately need them in this country.

@LindaSal   Thanks Linda. The appt. went better than great. I'm dismissed. 20/20 vision both eyes for far distance, but will still need reading assistance. Rather than taking glasses on and off, I prefer progessive lenses and also have them tinted so outside I don't need to change to sunglasses.

[ Edited ]

This has been a sad week.  Our relatives in California are safe at this time.  So much destruction and loss to so many people.  Prayers for the fire fighters, police and rescue workers.

No big plans for us this weekend.  We are getting light snow now & some again on Sunday.

Have a good check up, @Shanus.  I was so excited to get my new glasses after my surgery.  I did go a little nuts with fashion sunglasses though!

@MOMMAVik   Happy your family's safe in these horrible fires. Defintely prayers going out for anyone who is helping out there.

I went a little nuts on my glasses, too. I always get plain black either wire frames or acetate ones...still black. I ventured out this morning and chose an eggplant tortoise pair. I always have the lenses that turn dark in the sun so I don't need extra sunglasses to keep up with. I'm sure your wild ones are quite spectacular!!

Have a wonderful weekend. Heart

Good Monday morning,

I could not let the week start without a hello to all of you.

@Shanus  so pleased to hear your appointment well.   Look at you, fancy gal, with the cool glasses!   Good for you for going outside the box.

My prayers are for all those in Ca dealing with the mess.  Such destruction and devastation.

I know the people of NC are still dealing with so much.

I hope you all have a good week.

Today is Peach Melba Day.  Mangia! Enjoy!
