Shabbat Shalom and welcome to all who share thoughts here on Fridays.
Well, it's our 56th anniversary tomorrow. I'm not sure many get to that milestone. It is years of raising children, saving money for DH's practice, saving again for college, saving for a house, good times and making it through the not so good times. We're rewarded with two granddaughters and many years of memories...sad ones and happy ones. Through the years we've both lost grandparents and parents and my brother at a young age. We support each other during sorrow and rejoice when one of us achieves a goal. We also never go to bed angry or hold a grudge (for better or worse). I'm so grateful for the time we have together. Dinner out tomorrow night and a quiet evening planned. It'll finally be cool enough after dinner to sit on our balcony with a glass of wine.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe weekend from our home to yours.

I can echo your post. It's 57 years for us. We have certainly seen the world change, haven't we? We dearly miss family who have gone on before us, but we thank God for His many blessings over the years. We are ready to pass the torch to our children and grandchildren. May they make many years of wonderful memories of their own.

A very Happy Anniversary to you and your husband. We recently celebrated our 47th and after I read your post, I thankfully identified with eveerything except the loss of your dear brother. I'm so sorry you had to experience that, but he is now peacefully with God. Have fun enjoying your anniversary dinner and especially your time together.

Happy Anniversary to you!
This fall we will be celebrating our 59th!
We are grateful for all our blessings, and the grace we received to pull us through the many challenges of life.
We are happy to have our children and grandchildren, as well as remaining family and friends.
Yes, like you, we remember with sadness so many family members and dear friends we have lost through the years.
The only constant is change, and we try our best to adapt.
All my best wishes to you both.

Happy Weekend and Anniversary to all of you who have so much to celebrate.
We just celebrated our 45th.
Yes there are good times and not so good times in a marriage, raising children, grandchildren, working, houses, etc, but it is so worth the work you put in if you are with the right partner.
I am thankful (as all of you seem to be) to have found the right partner in life. We are blessed.

Well many congrats to all of you on your milestones. What a fete. Wow. Since my last divorce, I've been alone for about 30 years as it left a bad taste in my mouth and something I wasn't willing to do ever again or even have any kind of relationship. My hats off to you.

Good morning everyone... Have a wonderful, safe and happy weekend. Hoping the weather improves across the country. We seem to be experiencing a lot of extremes this year with heat, rain, wind, etc.
@Shanus CONGRATULATIONS to you both... and many more wonderful years together.
