The whole check waiting thing was total nonsense and should never have started in the first place.  Perhaps it started back when married women couldn't get a credit card without their husband's approval? 

It was unfair to customers who really wanted to purchase an item, not think about it for a week before sending QVC a check?  Ridiculous.

@Tinkrbl44   i think I just heard on the qvc phone line, waiting for a CS rep, they do have  check options. As I understand it, many people have no credit card at all, for one reason or another. My mother died in 2019 and she never had a credit card, nor did she ever use a computer.  She said she didn't need one if she needed something she paid cash or check. And she had more money than I care to mention. lol.  That aside, I also know some elderly buy from QVC, but do not use or trust credit cards,  they have always used a check with QVC. I think however you might be able to to do check over phone . Credit card use is expensive for businesses, they even pay % for debit. Not fair. Usually it's 2.5-4%. Anyway, I could never be bothered with a check to qvc, good Lord, takes forever.  Then I would need an envelope, go to the PO.  NO THANK YOU LOL  to much work.

i use my c.c., for sure, but buyer beware:  a lot of small to medium businesses are passing their c.c. costs onto you. 

i was just at a relatively small/medium tile store and to order samples they upcharged 3% if you used your c.c.

cash, no upcharge. 

restaurants are now doing it my area.  

one store, upcharge for c.c. and 10% off on thursdays if u use cash.  

so small businesses are getting slammed with fees and passing onto the consumer.

If I'm not mistaken, QVC has followed other retailers and no longer accepts and holds items with personal checks. That's been the case for some time and I believe has been discussed on the forums.

Their method of payments are all major credit cards, PayPal, gift cards, and MV or Visa debit cards.
