@AnikaBrodie & all: I love this poem! And the birds! They are eating so fast and crows I bought a bag of cheaper seeds. They don't care and I refilled it again this morning. No crows today, they must not like wind and rain.
We walked at 6:30 because rain was due, it was more humid earlier. Then walked again just around triangles at 9.
A tree removal truck passed that had the neighbor's tree trunks in it. But they left a mess of branches, mud and debris in the street. Also a big tape measure in the middle of the road. I put it on the tractor they left in a ditch, I hope they and coming rain will clear the road.
My son texted last night his cell phone died so he went to Verizon to get a new one. This morning he texted it's half full of apps and he hates it. I told him to spend more for an apple and i cloud storage. I spend .99 monthly for extra storage. Mostly for photos. Also the phone and I pad work together well. When wi-fi works, ha!
No rain now, just the tail end of Debby will be passing today. It's been West of us as has most flooding. Take care everyone in the bad weather.

@hullie , I am sorry you are feeling under the weather. I see the doctor ( it will be a nurse practioner) this afternoon because my hip is still very painful. They did an xray in June, and the report shows mild arthritis. Nothing mild about my pain though.
We had a record 106 heat yesterday. A cool front came in last night, and we should be in the low 90s for today.
I hope you have a good weekend, and feel better.

Soon it will be apple picking season.
@Sassy7356 , I am ready for cooler weather here. We had a high of 106 yesterday. That set a new record here.
Everyone, I hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

Because of the torrential rain and wind and flooding Ed and I decided to stay home and work on cleaning the garage. So far we have 5" of rain but the tornado watch expired a little while ago. Right now it's not raining but more thunderstorms are expected by 4:00 PM and I'm sure we will exceed 5" before all is said and done. Many roads and streets in our area are flooded and impassable.
We are south of I-80 and PennDOT reduced the speed to 55 MPH sometime this morning. There were two vehicle accidents near us (last night and this morning). Both were multiple cars/trucks; one with fatalities, the other with critical injuries. No details yet on what happened. I do know speed was involved in one of the cases.
Ed and Alfie just went for mail. Ed uses a short leather leash (which is much safer) for the trip. Today is the 5th day and Alfie is doing great; however, Ed says he wants to stop and pee at every pole. Typical of a male dog!
Take care everyone and stay high and dry and cool too. Break is almost over...

Dear @AnikaBrodie, I smile because I understand Alfie marking his territory. If he could write a note, it would say... Alfie was here! Junior leaves his notes all around the yard and at the Vet's shrubbery too.
I hope that by now the storm has passed by you and that your property is safe from flooding. The rain and flooding have just destroyed so much through the whole east coast. Such a nightmare! God bless you and yours precious friend! Love you
