Re: Routine dental appointments and flu?

Don't forget about the elevator buttons.  I usually use one of my keys or my elbow to push the buttons.

Also, sometimes the hygenist hands us a mirror to see our clean, bright teeth.

My gosh, how are we going to survive?  So much to worry about, it seems.

Well, let's 'knock on wood'.  And then make sure we sanitize our knuckle.

(Said in a 'tongue in cheek' way.  Let's at least try to keep as safe as possible this flu season.  'An ounce of prevention.......'

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Routine dental appointments and flu?

Thank you for your input. I went ahead and had my cleaning and when dentist suggested I return to replace a filling I said, let's do it today -- I don't want to return for a while. Limit the visits. So far, so good and I didn't touch magazines and even used my own pen at the receptionist desk. Waited until I got home to use the restroom. Stairs instead of elevator. I used to get bronchitis once a year, but more careful and healthier now.

Re: Routine dental appointments and flu?

Unfortunately I have to go in for weekly blood tests.  Those waiting rooms are full of sick people.  Walk by the pediatrician check-in desk with the hacking kids.  I try to be as careful as I can, but what are you going to do.  As previously stated, touching things is only half the battle.
