LOL!   So funny, at least there were a lot less cars on the road back then!

I have this memory as a teen waiting for my ride to school in the mornings.  Every morning like clockwork, a young mother would zip down the street in her red VW holding her months old baby as she drove.  

As for the 60's carseat, looks like more of a hazard than a help.  Yikes!

I've never seen anything like that. At least the baby is buckled in. I thought the "car seat" was the parent's lap.

 

Oh just noticed that the buckle is only to the car seat which is just slung over the back.

@SeaMaiden We also rode in the back of a truck and sat on the hub over the wheel !

I can also remember having a wreck on my bike or my mini bike, no helmet or pads like today.  If you wrecked, they said "get up you are okay."  We were tough!!!
