Re: Remember Frank Sinatra?

[ Edited ]

I didn't appreciate Frank Sinatra until I was older...there seems to be a true lack of talent like his and his fellow crooners now...just like a true lack of imagination by writers in Hollywood. Few, if any, good new movies or TV shows...just recycling old ideas. Frank Sinatra was one of a kind...and I still love hearing Tony Bennett..his voice is still great....

Being Italian, our family grew up listening to Frankie.

I listen to his Sirius channel all the time.  Love the old, old songs.

I was lucky to see him at Carnegie Hall.  I think it was about 1983.  Bellissimo!Heart

I never did see the appeal of Frank.  I thought there were so many better singers.

I love him, too.  I have a lot of his music on my phone.

My parents used to play his albums frequently.  So I grew up listening to it.  And of course whatever TV shows he was on, the television was tuned into it  Smiley Happy

one of my favorites by Sinatra:

"All My Tomorrows"

"Today I may not have a thing at all
Except for just a dream or two
But I've got lots of plans for tomorrow
And all my tomorrows belong to you

Right now it may not seem like spring at all
We're drifting and the laughs are few

But I've got rainbows planned for tomorrow
And all my tomorrows belong to you

No one knows better than I
That luck keeps passing me by, that's fate
But with you there at my side
I'll soon be turning the tide, just wait

As long as I've got arms that cling at all
It's you that I'll be clinging to

And all the dreams I dream, beg, or borrow
On some bright tomorrow they will all come true
And all my bright tomorrows belong to you."

Remember Frank - how could one forget him and the late, great Aretha Franklin.  Here you go:
