Go to YouTube and give it a listen. It certainly took me back to a much simpler time, but certainly not without tragedy.

I don't know why, but I never liked that song.

My favorite song of all time!  And Pandora must know that because it's always played at least once when I listen to Pandora!

What confuses me is that I can remember every word of a song from 50 years ago - but I can't remember why I walked into the kitchen!

Well if that doesn't make me feel old, I don't know what does!  Love that song.

I still remember ALL the words to that song--I was 17 when that song was released.

I still remember that song  by Don McLean . I was sitting in an old 57 Chevy with friends and the song  was playing on the radio. I was 16  . We all  began to sing the refrain . It's the type of song that  gets in your head  and you begin singing  the lyrics.
