Reason for a flight delay

[ Edited ]

My niece and her husband are on their way to Bologna Italy to visit her husband's parents and siblings.  There are no direct flights from LA to Bologna so they had to take a Swiss Airlines flight with a connecting flight to Bologna.   I followed her flight on line.  The departure was an hour and a half late.  My brother sent me a text to let me know they just made their connecting flight.   The reason for the delay was that a woman refused to put her seat belt on.  So they had to return to the gate to have her removed.  Some people are not all that bright.  Not only did she miss her flight but she inconvenienced all the passengers and will probably be banned from ever flying Swiss Airlines.

@Boehm Collector Maybe she is one of the spoiled and entitled people now who do not feel obligted to consider others, step aside for someone, or think of anything or anyone but themselves.

Why,oh, why would she not put a seat belt on? Didn't she know she had to wear a seat belt?

@Boehm Collector

I find it difficult to believe anyone who flies these days doesn't know they need to wear a seat belt, just like in cars.

This doesn't sound "not all that bright".

My first thought was that some sort of mental issue was going on.

Glad your family got to where they were going.  Woman Happy

Honestly, some people!  It must have been soooo nerve racking to wonder about your connection.  Glad they made it.

wow, glad they made that, and an hour and a half to do that.  I'm sure others may have missed their connections.  Just sad.

@Tinkrbl44 ... actually we got more information from my niece.  The woman decided she didn't want to fly.  So she intentionally disregarded the instructions to put on her seat belt knowing she would be taken back to the gate to be removed.  I don't know what is wrong with her.

Re: Reason for a flight delay

Someone like this should forever be banned from flying on Swiss Airlines .
