I am scaling back from a Toyota 4 Runner and looking at Rave 4.  I LOVE Toyota, their dependability, the size of the steering wheel fits my hand, and I have admired one in the parking lot where I work.  I'm hopeful test driving next weekend.

Is there anything you would tell a friend?  Many thanks.

I think my daughter has one I will ask her, she lives 9 hours away so I have only seen her car once she flies here but I think that is what she bought about 3 or 4 years ago.

We purchased a Rav 4 Hybrid last September. Love it. Can’t say enough good things about it. Our last trip up and back to the White Mountains from Maine we got 50 miles per gallon. Running around town it gets around 42 miles per gallon. It is quite as a church mouse. Freaked me out at first. No noise starting up. Highly recommend it. We love Toyotas too!

We are a 2 RAV4 family - 2015 and 2016 models.  That came about because I bought the 2015 and my husband liked it so much he bought one the next year.  We have been so pleased with everything about these cars. 

And that's saying a lot, considering that our previous cars were both Lexus.  But it's the same company, you're just not paying for the Lexus name.  And my RAV4 has been more trouble-free than my Lexus ever was. 

I would tell a friend - Buy a RAV4!

@ECBG  my sister had a Toyota 4 runner. Don't remember the year but it had 472 thousand miles and still going strong. She gave it to someone and a driver crashed into it, totalling it.

Isn't that the one that used to have the spare tire hanging on the back? Hated that. It's the reason we didn't buy one when we bought a new vehicle. I see it's not on back anymore but not sure where they put it.

If you like it go for it.

I also like the looks of the smaller Ford Bronco even thought DH hates a Ford. Not sure when that came out.

It is called the RAV4. Our nextdoor neighbor bought one a few months ago and really likes it. Good luck! I know you will enjoy a RAV4. DH has looked at one but it is much smaller than the 4Runner, so if you are wanting to size down, it's a good move.

I remember that old body style.  No way I could haul all I did during my life in that tiny thing!  Now they are a nicer size and 4 Runners have gotten longer and higher.
