I had lunch today at Red Robin. Very good but a tad pricey.Service was great, burger was cooked just right
Server brought over a basket of French fries, which she said was endless
I ordered a salad along with my burger

Just thought I'd share
Have a great holiday Q friends

Went to Red Robin  last week in my area  as a special outing  for my grandchild. Well,  right from the beginning there were issues  as the entrance floor was a  greasy slippery feeling under our shoes. There was one waitress/ bar maid in the area where we were seated . The restaurant was  mostly empty  at 3pm . She took forever ,  taking our order after getting us drinks. She choose to  clear two dirty tables even though we said we were ready to order because my grandson was hungary .  It took forever  and the burgers  food were burned  and fries cold . The  Root beer float had a pitiful  teaspoon size of  ice cream . It used to be an okay  restaurant but now it has fallen into the dump. I expect it to close . The Yelp reviews are riddled with complaints

@skatting44 - I'm sure individual restaurants are different depending on the franchisee and location.

But our one and only potential visit to Red Robin was similar to yours, except we didn't stay.

My immediate impression on entering was that the place was dark, badly lit and the floors felt sticky (and didn't seem too clean).  The whole place looked old and tired.

It was just DH and myself and the hostess seated us at a big, round table suitable for a party of 8.  The place was nearly empty and there were lots of tables for 2 or some booths.  I asked to be reseated but was told there were no "servers" for the other areas.

At which point, I said okay, thank you, and we're gone.  Never again.  It left me with the feeling of "I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like!"

On the west coast we have 'In-N-Out Burgers' my favorite burger place and extra crispy fries.  It's a drive-thru place, the burgers kind of reminds me of the old drive-in restaurants where the car-hop would take your order and you would eat your food in your car.

@SoCal Bred When I spent my first 61 years in the South Bay we LOVED In-N-Out!! Miss it a lot.

We just ordered food grow red robin yestauday night. The food was good. I've always hurd.if the dining room doesn't look clean then just imagine what the kitchen looks like. Ever see the show kitchen nightmares with Gorden Ramsey. Scary everything.
