I swapped Minnesota snows for California sunshine long time ago so I have to take the heat and at least there is air conditioning.

The heat and humidity drain me of energy and I have little motivation to do anything.  I also hate the noise and pollution of lawn mowers and blowers which go on in my area daily.  I used to enjoy summers when younger but now it is too hot for me and it seems we have much more heat than before.

I do not wish time away, it goes too quickly as it is but I do look forward to cooler weather where I do not need the air conditioner and nights will be cool enough for sleep.

Summer is my least favorite season.  I like the early part of summer okay, but by this time of the year I am tired of the flowers, mowing, yard work, heat, humidity, and mosquitoes.  I even heard one of our sons remark that he was tired of summer and ready for it to be over.  I don't like to rush time at the stage of my life but I look forward to fall and cooler temps.

Tired of flowers? 😮

@ILTH yes the constant watering, weeding, dead heading.  I typically love flowers but I haven't had a good summer health wise and I'm tired.

I like to live in the present and enjoy each season as it comes.  I enjoy the long days of daylight in the summer and the green grass.  I also enjoy the beautiful temperature fall brings, but not so much the short cold days of winter and brown grass in my yard.

Living in Memphis, TN, I don't have to deal with snow.

Re: REALLY TIRED OF SUMMER

[ Edited ]

I love the our summers.....beach, mountains, temperate evenings. However, we have been looking at homes on Zillow for some time now.  I'm a bit hesitant of the humidity in the south, although I love the lush green landscapes.  Currently, where I live the seasons are mild and inviting.  I vividly remember the New York winters- the good and the bad, but fall and spring were spectacular.  I think, at this stage, it might be best to avoid the extreme seasonal changes or high humidity and I am grateful that we have the option.  I enjoy the mild summers here....hiking, swimming, trikes, RV - life is good.

Early morning here has been cool and feels like Fall. But then the heat and humidity comes back during the day. I am ready for the Fall Season. Smiley Happy
