For the next 3 days, the forecast calls for rain.As I recall, past elections have been gloomy and rain.
Today I plan on making several batches of cookies to take in to both jobs.Little kids like these for a snack during programs which is Monday at 1030.
To all who still work, have a awsome work week
To all who are retired, enjoy it!

Raining here too.
I am very surprised to hear that home made treats can be used in your area. That is not allowed where I live. No home made treats at the schools when my girls were young. Had to buy at the store. For safety and allergy issues.

My granddaughter is highly allergic to tree nuts. Glad to find out their new school is a totally nut free environment. She no longer has to sit alone at a table for lunch - her twin sister felt so bad for her, she sat with her - so sweet.
I am also surprised homemade treats are allowed. While you might think the ingredients are "allergy" free, I have researched many only to find that a lot are not produced in a "dedicated" facility.

I wish it was raining here in NY. A drought watch has been issued for NYC. It is the second driest October on record since 1949.

That is so true you never heard of any food allergies back then as you do now, I mean we ate everything and anything without any health issues if I recall. It's probably all the additives, etc., being used today that are deemed unhealthy.

@Luvsmyfam, baking on a raining day sounds like the perfect activity, and such a sweet thing to do. But I am also surprised that home make treats are permitted at what I assume is your library job.
There has been, for liability reasons, a shift away from homemade to individually wrapped or commercially bought products for children. It's not just for possible allergies but if someone were to claim there was a problem with the edible item, like some contaminate found. Whether true or not, it becomes a problem for you. It may sound far fetched but we live in a litigious world. You know the saying that "no good deed goes unpunished" could come back to bite you.
I'm sure I sound cynical to some, but still wanted to give you a cautionary warning.

@Luvsmyfam I'm surprised homemade food is allowed for any kids, anywhere. Not the case here.
