I would only take a gift for who I knew.  The other young lady will have a lot of people there as well.

@FranandZoe   I would not give a gift to the grad you don't know.  I don't think she or her parents would expect you to.

How about masks? Sorry for the sarcasm, but these parties are stupid with whats going on now. Why parents feel the need to pretend everything is "as usual" makes me wonder about their mentality.
