@Venezia I also have 2 Delonghi's and I like the Miedia better. The hose pulls out from the unit into the window brace, then when you take the unit down, just retracts down. The hose is attached to the unit.
The thing that I do not like about theDelonghi's is that the hoses do not stay attached very well. I am always taping them.
The Miedia, I got about 2 months ago and it has been great. Very quiet and seems to be efficient. I got the 10,000 BTU because at the time it was on sale. It works great.
I live in Florida and my central air needs to be replaced. I have to like with these for a while, but even in this heat, I am impressed. I am not sorry that I bought the unit.

@conlt - Thank you so much for that information. I don't have any trouble with the hoses on our DeLonghis staying attached, but I also don't see them for sale at any of the warehouse places, so I figure they've been replaced by Midea.
Unfortunately, I've just missed all the sales at Costco and Sam's, but I'll keep my eyes open in case they have them on offer again. It would be useful not to have to store the hoses in the off-season.
