@ECBG

That is very common and  happens all the time.Just delete it or ignore it.  You can also  BLOCK  them if you want to.

I've been on FB long enough that I have all the "friends" i want.

Every friend request gets deleted.

too lazy to change my privacy

I've had to unfriend some people for various reasons.

I know it's called FACEbook but I get tired of seeing the same people every day posting themselves doing mundane things like EATING.

I used to get tons of them when I played games on Facebook in the early years.

Now that I don't play games and have removed all the apps, I no longer get unknown friend requests.

Also, I don't like or post comments on public sites.  I follow them and read them, but don't post.

I think that helps.

@KitTkat,Absolutely!  I do.  I asked because I didn't know if there might be a reason I wasn't aware of.

@ECBG I don't have facebook, so I didn't know how to answer your question exactly, but your post reminded me of something that happened to me that made me very uncomfortable, so I knew the feelings you were having! I'll share it now. When I was 19 i was out shopping by myself in my downtown area and this guy just walked up to me and asked if I'd be his girlfriend, I said no and walked away. He followed me into the next shop and asked me again. I repeated no. He walked out, and the store owner heard what he'd said to me and told me I could stay in her shop as long as I needed until i felt comfortable again. Fortunately he was long gone when i finally emerged from that shop. I still get creeped out if I feel like some guy is following me.
