My guess is she has been expecting this for a long time and has prepared herself well.   He had been failing for several years, so I'm sure the family was braced for it, as well.

It is so sad for the Queen.  lLmost 100 years old and being married to Elizabeth II for 73.  What a romance and he was royalty in his own right, albeit not the way Qeen Eliizabath was.  I pray for the family and for Queen Elizabeth \.  I hope she can continue to go on without her beloved.
