why? let's face it Diana knew what she was getting into when she married Charles, his true love was Camilla, and  yet, she married him anyway. I was never a Diana fan, thought she was overrated, and way to naive. btw, its the americans that seem to not like Charles, England loves them.

Sometimes people want to make out Prince Charles as some sort of devil. He is , much like his great Uncle , a man who fell in love with the wrong woman.  He was forced to give up the one he loved and marry one who would be accepted by the royals as his wife. I've read Diana had plotted for years to find a way to marry him. He never loved her and she loved being a princess, not the man she married to get the title. She very clearly had mental health issues that were exaggeraed by the stress of her position.

Then Diana must have "plotted" as a teen and pre-teen "for years" since she was only NINETEEN when she became engaged!

Hardly. Loved her. She did a lot of great things. Can't stand the homely Charles or the homely Camilla. These two cheaters deserve each other.

Diana wasn't naieve.  She had been raised around the Royal Family.  I think she wanted to be a Princess and the Fairy Tale and then was very disappointed when it turned out to be real life.

Do you find it is a good idea to judge people's character by how physically attractive they are or are not? Thank goodness my parents taught me better than that when I was a youngster.
