Re: ?Price Increase on Q food

If there was any delay in the shipping process, I would worry about temperature control.

@deedledeedeedle   Have you checked out prices at the grocery store lately?

@Janey2 - I'm sorry.   I really just meant that everyone will decide how they want to spend their money, whether others think it may be too expensive for themselves or not. We all have our own limits. 💗

Costco makes a great cheesecake in their bakery. It is $12.99 and it is large. I can put whatever berries or sauces I want on it. I would never pay $70 for any cheesecake. I have had Junior's cheesecake and it is delicious....but any cheesecake is overpriced at $70.

That is a really high cost. I would never pay that much! Such a rip off, I would make one or buy one at a store or bakery.

I hear ya, @ScrapHappy ! I would have the entire cheesecake gone in 2 days, whittling it down to nothing.

The Acchatz (?sp) pie shop near me closed or I would have gone that route, but I don't think I can spend $75 on a cheesecake. It may just be ice cream for me, then.

My sister and I were texting each other during the last Gourmet Holiday show about how high the prices have gotten.  A $70 cheesecake would equal a half weeks worth of groceries for my family.  I'd rather buy local and thankfully I found the best most delicious pie place.  It's 35 minutes from my home but 9 minutes from my husband's office.  $10 for a 9 inch pie.  We ate one is less than a day.  I gotta watch myself.

Would be disappointed in grocery store options for cheesecake, @Kachina624 , but thanks for the suggestion. If I were more motivated I would make it myself, but Lock Down has me in a major funk.
