Ladies, I hope you are checking your orders for lower prices than you paid.  I checked mine tonight and received price adjustments on 4 orders totaling about $35.

A few months ago I received approximately $75 over a 2-month period by checking my order prices for price adjustments on a few orders.

Price adjustments are for a 30 day period.

@KathyM23,

Thank you so much. I had forgotten about that. I just did it too.

I don't know why they reduce prices so much within such a short time.

That eucalyptus tree I got 2 weeks ago was reduced $10!

I wonder why they do that. Maybe if something isn't selling well?

I have done the same thing by checking my prices and asking for a price adjustment.  It seems that Q's prices are all over the place in recent months.

I've been in the habit of checking for price drops for years. There have been many times if I post about an item, I'll update the thread I started about it and give an update of the price drop so others can get a price adjustment if they ordered the item. Usually it is a garment, but not always.

I've never done that and was not aware. I assume you are saying if the price changes to a lower price within 30 days of your purchase you can get an adjustment on your purchase ?

As long as it's the exact same item, i.e., color, size, etc. yes.  I've done it in the past with both QVC and HSN.  No problem.

Yes, but they use the order date to calculate the 30 days and we all know that the order can sit there 3-4 days 'in process'.

@on the bay    Good question.  Only reason I can imagine is that they have too few left to devote TV time and warehouse space to.  Both might cost more than the loss to the company?

Many retailers will price adjust within 30 days even if the policy is not advertised. Most that lower prices quickly do so because they want to move the merchandise. New merchandise usually hits the stores monthly or bi-monthly, so it's more profitable to lower the price on the merchandise that has been in the store for that timeframe or longer. The markups are so big that they still make money and any purchase represents dollars toward the profit margin. Unsold leftover merchandise serves no purpose to the retailer.

If we are grading changes made by Quarate to QVC, sale prices whether permanent reductions or the temporary clearance sale prices, are something that they get a plus grade for. I rather like the only order of the season thing too.  In the past, QVC had only a handful of reduced-price items and that was most often after Christmas and in January.  It's nice that they will honor the lower price of an item if the customer catches it within 30 days.

That is not true in my experience.

It has been 30 days from the day I RECEIVED the item, which they have a record of. In fact, just this week I called for a price adjustment of $12 for an item I received 31 days prior to that (in January). And I used the price difference on the TSV for today.

I frequently have price adjustments, mostly $3-5 difference. In January I had FOUR price adjustments. It adds up!

You can ask for the price difference to be put as a credit on your next purchase, or you can have it applied to your credit card, or I suppose if you pay by check they would send a check to you, but I'm not sure about that last one, only the two first options that I have used over and over.
