I am very happy that our @NAES1 is back with us.
I hope your day is a good one.
How sweet of you, @Tissyanne .
How was your 'today'? No rain here- yet but suppose to get alot eah day through the week and highs in 90s. Much better, I certainly hope. I doing 90% better- it's the moisture & rain that creeps in. No lfting or trying to pull heavy boxes out and then turn quickly.
My day was really super nice. My husband was home all day ecept for a brief hair clip [ shaping ] app't.
I had a list for some groceries for a list, had those delivered. Somewhat difficult to store all in freezer - refrigator with a french door design and the need to buy a freezer is becoming almost a need...that lessen the shop menu and being here.
I found an { all } wild caught fish business across town and thought we would fill the freezer with that and vegetables, only. Just a thought......
Seems a bit backwards with the two of us....believe the fish is a priority, and neither one of us eat beef or pork, never touching lamb or other ---whatever they have. Mainly sticking to vegetables and anything gluten free, GMO free, too.
I believe I mentioned we are almost meat free except for an occasional dinner with a variety of anything that we can manage chicken thighs into a roaster, along with maybe some brown rice. Love sweet potatoes and back off on the white ones. I like all green -red- yellow peppers, along with mushrooms.
Seldom do I ever bake (BORING TO ME)...maybe three times a year. I thought of some gluten free cornbread if I am in the mood and not needing the oven.
I make gluten free steel cut oats early in the evening and store those for the next day for our breakfast
Several months ago ago I said my menu deals would cause most people to leave but we love to keep, at bay, the fatty meats and breads for Thanksgivings, if that much.
Yum, I do love a monthly Chick fll A...{is that the spelling ?..don't want the grammar gals having me on radar with their saucy opinions.
menu planning and cooking has to be a love, and apparently I am not in the club.
My husband is pretty much on the same meal(s), but like some snacking -his doctor told him he's up 7 lbs so we got to work...he was amazed that he had lost 11 pounds and his B/P was 126/ 70... mine isn't even that.
Dieting is a lost cause here so we never stress on that..what I fix is exactly what we eat if snacks aren't being sneaking out later... and I know who that was.
Ha, it's okay~!
Keep in touch and give me updates on your recovery. OH! I have an app't for my husband down in July for a colonoscopy. That has taken some needling. It's time and it's a preventable testing. I give it 5 stars.
Back tomorrow when I have more time. Stay well, safe and lovable.
Hello to everyone
....back later....have clothes in the dryer.

@NAES1 ,
We were posting at the same time. See above.
I have felt pretty well today, and ate my dinner about 7:00. My husband did not get here until 9:00, and ate then. My stove has a warmer burner, and I do use it almost daily. It was the feature that made this stove my choice.
I fixed salmon today, with roasted carrots, and cauliflower mashed potatoes. I even made tarter sauce.. It was a good meal. We do not eat lamb either. We like chicken, and fish. I am backing away from beef for us, except occasionally. We like most vegetables. I have always enjoyed mushrooms.
We have a side by side refrigerator, and a freezer too. I enjoy having the freezer.
The weather man says we may have rain here July 4th. I hope so.
I am glad you had a great day. Mine was good too.
We have oatmeal a few times a week for breakfast, topped with Smucker's sugar free syrup, and chopped walnuts. We also eat scrambled eggs some mornings.
Chick Fil A is a favorite place for all three of us. The food is very good, and we have 3 different locations.
I had a colonoscopy the same day as the endoscopy. My husband had one about a year ago. I certainly agree, they are very valuable.
Talk to you tomorrow. Good night.

Thank you for your post yesterday. I appreciate your insight. You understand so much.
I have been gone all afternoon. Grocery store, and then putting the groceries away. I cooked dinner then, and just sat down Still have a few dishes to clean up.
We had landscapers at my brother's house, and they cut part of the sprinkler system.
Tomorrow evening someone is coming to fix it. We hope. We will have to be there to turn on the sprinkler system.
Anyway, just saying Hello.

Hello, @Tissyanne and a Happy 4th of July, whatever your plans. I hadn’t forgotten you, friend — was away on vacation last week. Been catching up on work and chores ever since. I pray you are continuing along in your recovery from the troublesome symptoms of the hiatal hernia. I read your post to me stating you believed your grandmother had one, too. I suppose this could run in families, like so many other things do. In that case, I'll be “looking forward” to possibly inheriting one sooner or later, too. This thread with your and other's experiences may be very helpful to many. Good on you and your DH for beginning the new dining plan together! Best wishes with it. 👍🏼👍🏼
I thank @butterfly123 for starting this thread for positive thoughts and prayers. We don't see as many such threads here as in the past. I've always felt they were one of the best, most loving topics in this community — among friends. Old and new. Love contributing to all things positive and we never know when we will be the one needing prayers and encouragement. I hope you will find good resources for your skin condition. I'll be praying to the Source to intervene on your behalf.
And Tissyanne!
Have a nice, safe holiday weekend, ladies.

Good afternoon. I hope your 4th was a good one. We had a nice quiet day, which was nice for us.
I am enjoying the new eating adventure for sure, and I think my husband is too. It gives me something new to focus on, and that is nice for both of us. I retired early 8 years ago, because our only child Brian, fell critically ill. We moved him home, and he remains here with us even now. He has improved, but has limitations. Septic shock almost took his life.
Oh, I love to eat at Red Lobster. We enjoy the endless shrimp, and those garlic biscuits are so good.
God bless your brother too, for his service in the Marines. My husband served as a Marine also.
Your words here about your Angela, tell me a lot about the pain you have endured, yet your faith is very evident. I believe, as you do, that we will be with our loved ones again. I remember my Mom talking to me about seeing her Dad, in the final days of her life. It was a comforting, yet very sad time.
Blessings today, and always.
Gail
