What a relief you got sleep last night! A blessing!
This graphic came up for Sjogren’s:
I know of at least one other poster here who deals with this condition.
My autoimmune condition also deals with many of the same things.
My sinus issues over the years may have had more to do with this. When I was exposed to any chemicals (wedding florist where the shop was drying and preserving) sirens 🚨 would go off in the back of my nose - extremely painful.
I wish you much comfort and since you have a great doctor, she will find out what works!

So glad that you had such a thorough exam and this PCP so highly recommends the gastro specialist that you'll see on the 30th. Ruling things out can be such a tiring trial, but so necessary. I pray you are well on your way to wellness now. Good sleep, with no pills to swallow should help! 🤗
My mom has Sjögren's Syndrome. Dry eyes, dry mouth and skin. They told her when she was first diagnosed that it likely came from hormonal changes. She has never taken HRT of any kind. The dryness throws off the PH balance in the mouth, which can definitely contribute to thrush (and serious dental decay at and below the gum line reaching the pulp). She has to get no less than 3 cleanings a year and use extra fluoride at home. Restasis in her eyes.
Some of her necessary meds contribute to the dryness, too. In fact, she believes it was drug-induced, rather than strictly hormonal. None of the other women in her family have ever developed the syndrome. Lots of antibiotics, anti-anxiety, anti-depressants, hypertension and arthritis drugs over the years. One “Clonodine” that she took during menopause to help with flushing, anxiety and blood pressure spikes set her up with thrush that found its way clear to her stomach lining.
You're wise to do your own research, including RX side-effects. You can help your specialist pinpoint the problem(s). Hope you have no hiatal hernia, too - or ulcers. My husband is being treated for both. It was discovered following a bad case of hay fever. The drainage was meeting the relux in his throat and causing the burning, plus a productive cough. Never any lower chest pain, so he had no idea of the hernia there, though the ulcers would occasionally cause pain in his stomach at night.

What a beautiful note card of blessings for Tissyanne, @butterfly123 .
We just finished with our dinner a few minutes ago
......(surprise, my husband prepared some fried ham and cut up small potatoes, with broccoli and Lima beans) and mentioned I wanted to check 'in' to understand if
`` [all ] was the same -or- if Tissyanne had been on any time today.
I was not here yesterday, and from reading back 1 page, it appears that @Tissyanne is hopefully resting from what she had been speaking about from these past 2 + weeks, along with the doctor's visit mid week.
I thought to come on late last night (too late) and maybe carefully ask, but felt it was not tasteful somehow... I knew that the day time hours she probably would be resting.
I was not here long enough (home) to be that ready to begin everything I wanted to say, so continued on with what I had already begun and went to bed.
How very thoughtful of you and @newtoallthis to memo her a note . and a
If I may, I would like to personally love say to @Issy379 a very Happy Birthday from another thread. She was so kind in coming to be here with me -and a wonderful surprise...she's such a loving, thoughtful lady I have known for about three years.
I will be here later on.
Thank YOU, @butterfly123 for being such a wonderful friend.
Today has been a dampness to the day from many hours of rain, so once again, we have the heat back on. It's so comfy to be back home with a warm cotton robe on and have my husband here for such a delicious dinner.
Haa, Sashay was chilled ( I (?) believe) she climbed underneath a quilt I had spread over the sofa.
She does this every time it rains ....staying in | ~~ ( a little lump I see under the blanket); She figured out strategically how to push back the bottom material and wiggle her way to the very middle end.
It's only 43 but the humidity makes it more of a chill.
72 feels just right.
love,
Sashay & NAES...and don't forget the cook !

Good evening all.
My brother has been here the last few days, and leaves Monday. He is preparing to retire in the fall, and is going to make our parents home his retirememt home.
I remain the same, but have been able to sleep in bed.
Thank everyone again for all of your prayers, and support.

That is wonderful -THE GREATEST NEWS- to hearing that your brother will be so near by.
A lovely home for such a dear caring brother.
I had remembered Tissyanne, you would like, by mid summer, (before all of this happened) after your husband retired in January to moved to an area _ 'there'_ where it rains a lot. I know that for now some plans have to be slow going.
What a very nice surprise. I am happy for you and your brother when all of this comes to fruition. , too!
My prayers continue as always; so thrilled that you are able to sleep (longer and a bit more comfortable, at this time. I will not bother you this late, but wanted you to know.... """THINKING ABOUT YOU"""~ love,
I will be on when you are: sooner or later.
Thank you for letting me know (for all of us) this much.
Good night. ~~~~ NAES
