@butterfly123 ,

Good morning,

I have an appointment tomorrow at 1:00 with my PCP.  I am going to stress the urgency of finding out what is wrong with me, even if I need to be admitted to the hospital.

Whatever is wrong, I need medical care.

I did sleep last night, but woke up very early, and don't feel well at all.

Hugs to you.

                       YES!   Yes - yes.............hospital.

'how well I know, when you said 'struggling',  The pcp should understand medical care more sophisticated than an anti acid pill ain't doing what he/she apparently thought. I hope that you are under a group network that is, now, taking this very seriously with a gastroenterology specialist .

If I have read everything down to the nub, the health issues began to become worse after the 25 year script was omitted as a 'full dose', not 1/2 - Since the ER physician viewed no obstruction or blockage, then the upper endoscopy should "IF" this is a more involved gastro intestinal dysfunction or something that needs to be more gathered information.

I had a friend who had severe abdominal pain and sudden fatigue, nausea and vomiting who was sent home with pain medication, only to find out 1 day later she was back to the emergency for further test(s).

An ultra sound was scheduled after other tests revealed nothing. Her mystery of 8 er visits from 12 days ago did reveal on the last one, the thin bile duct that leads to the liver from the gallbladder, then to the pancreas has broken loose, bringing toxins into the liver. BILE!

Of course this does not sound anything such as yours, or meant ever to alarm you... but to illustrate the patient did have to have surgery when the physicians said they could not find anything physically wrong, as an illness. That was 2 days ago. That concerned me very much. !

What clued one physician who was brought in from another hospital did another scan and more blood work- which came back within hours that her liver enzyme level was 1,268 meter reading points higher than normal.  That happened within 12 hours.

Could be a hiatal hernia ( I never thought) but you have had not mentioned anything of mid- abdominal pain.

I am hoping this is very easily to identify.

My well hoped thoughts are with you for keen observation, today or very soon. Having the mentioned medication decreased stirs up tension to tighten muscles causing simple complaints to be ruled out.

I hope to hear even a small amount of positive news from this visit from what you have been through.  Heart

@Tissyanne ~ hugs to (((you))) and prayers for your very best care tomorrow. Hopefully once your PCP hears that you've been to the ER due to these awful symptoms... he or she will take this much more seriously.

Out here in VA, as insurers are narrowing their networks and hospitals take ownership of private practices, and accountable care organizations are emerging... referrals are becoming less personal and more random. Even automated. Lacks that vital traditional channel of communication.

If you don't receive the care you need and deserve tomorrow, you can contact your insurance company to complain and request an urgent referral. My DIL has had to do this numerous times, though she already has numerous specialists who treat her for lupus. She turns directly to her insurer's web portal where they handle these emergency situations for her.

❤️🙏❤️

              @WaJa61 , I can believe this .

The web portal can handle many emergency situations...even though as you mentioned 'many specialists'.

A sudden mysterious illness years ago when my husband was much younger went through this with a completely different medical health issue.

ONE hospital:1st.-then a secon one the next day.

He was sent home, only to be fly lifted to a medical center where an infection in his blood was over looked (and with apparently ineffective intravenous antibiotics), then having him to be hospitalized for TWO weeks / culture was identified.

Mercy, @NAES1! Thank Heaven your husband was air-lifted in time, before sepsis took him away from here. Nothing surprises me anymore in regard to our healthcare systems. Most GPs/PCPs are going out of business here. We now have to drive 40-mins to our nearest, and often see a NP ~ which I don’t mind at all for minor issues. Still have to see someone there to have RXs filled and for referrals...

We do have pretty good hospitals and specialists in our Charlottesville area. Including UVA. My DIL has to spend a lot of time there with several specialists. The Cigna portal is very helpful in those times when her symptoms are severe and immediate testing and/or treatment is required. This can spring up overnight. They can get her in usually immediately to see her usual specialist, or another within the same group. You know with systemic lupus, most anything can quickly become critical.

When my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer in Richmond, her doctor sent out the shotgun referral for an oncologist/surgeon. She didn’t have to be at the mercy of any HMO, etc. SSI by then. They couldn’t save her, but not for lack of trying. Very aggressive type, that spread quickly.

I'm thankful to hear that dear @butterfly123 has received such personalized care through her portal. It makes all the difference in the world!

I was hoping for an update from @Tissyanne, but maybe she is resting, if not hospitalized. Whatever is best for her! We can wait and keep those...

May the merciful blessings of good healing come down!

I shall check back in here soon. 💜

Good evening to everyone,

I feel very good about my appointment today. She was very helpful, and spent a lot of time with me.

She got my meds sent to my pharmacy in formulations that I don't have to swallow pills. Yea!!! Best news yet.

She did a throat culture to check on the thrush situation because my throat is bothering me.

She is testing me for Sjoren's syndrome. I have had very dry eyes for years, and now my mouth/throat is very dry as well. My dentist mentions it to me.

I am still scheduled for the April 30th specialist. She encouraged me that that the doctor is an excellent one.

She had several blood tests run.

I slept in my bed last night and never woke up.

I feel your prayers, and outpouring of support, Thank you all. Heart

Thank you my precious friend for being not too tired to get back. I know it IS later than when you brought this much information...I have not left this board since your time around 10am.  My heart is with you all of the way and has been seven and one half years.

I am and was __still__ so concerned as I am explaining this to my husband.

Tissy, I- for 8 years taught in a hospital explained many of the auto immune diseases/ systemic 'syndromes; THOSE explained, unexplained , unknown, some research and Sjogren's included,

but to my recollection no one had in the group anything remotely associated with lymph nodes unless being a patient in any of the local testing hosptial(s).  In dermatology, I know of the Hasimoto's, thyroid inflammation, along with the erythematosus (Lupus.

I am over joyed that your physician listened and you know more than yesterday.

I'll let you rest and be here tomorrow. Heart

I forgot to say my Dr is wondering like some have mentioned. Hiatal hernia.

I personally think I do have Sjorens after reading about it, I have so many symptoms. I believe it has caused my thrush, and I think that is my problem. Throat thrush. Just my thoughts.

Re: 💜 Prayers, Positive Thoughts For Tissyanne Please

@Tissyanne

I read and reread your post. You and your PCP accomplished a lot today. I felt joy, relief and happiness from your words in the post tonight.

So many blessings from this appointment. Your meds being prescribed so you don’t feel the unease of taking the pill form, testing is being completed and the PCP spent time listening to your needs and concerns.

The news of you sleeping through the night in your bed brought a smile to my heart. Amore was probably looking for you in the recliner and continued his investigation until the little fur kid found you.

I hope the test results show promising results and much needed information.

I’m sorry I confused the time frame your DB would be moving. Hopefully, you and your family will spend quality time together while he’s there.

An Angel was watching over you today and always.

I’m happy for you precious friend.

I continue to pray and hold positive thoughts close to my heart.

...I have not left this board since your time around 10am.

My concern is with you all of the way and has been for many years.

____Was this the same doctor that declined your other medication? Did she know about the (if her) of the oral throat thrush? I have no more questions.............. if the same doctor.

I am and was __still__ so concerned as I am explaining this to my husband.

Tissy,

For 8 years taught in a hospital explained many of the auto immune diseases/ systemic 'syndromes; THOSE explained, unexplained , unknown, some research and Sjogren's included,

but to my recollection no one had in the group anything remotely associated with lymph nodes unless being a patient in any of the local testing hosptial(s). Many doctors know very little about autoimmune but better than 10 years ago. There are more specialists going into this field now.

In dermatology, I know of the Hasimoto's, thyroid inflammation, along with the erythematosus (Lupus.

I am over joyed that 'the' physician listened and you had the CULTURE

Thrush has (usually) been an over growth of yeast mainly in diabetics

I'll let you rest and be here later on Thursday. Heart love,

____________  @Tissyanne , forgot the @ to the former, also left out the [[ h ]]  in Hashimoto's if anyone was following. Never thought it was the Hiatal hernia ..mentioned that much earlier. There is another posting a few minutes ago. Still we do not know the complete. You know your body better as I have said. Sjoren's is rarely brought up unless many of the symptoms as yours does appear, or tested until there is a diagnosis.
