Re: 💜 Prayers, Positive Thoughts For Tissyanne Please

@LTT1 ,

I am feeling about the same. I see my PCP on Wednesday, and will press her for answers, and to convey my situation to her.

Thank you for continued prayers.

@Tissyanne

I hope your PCP has some suggestions for you. I have a hiatal hernia and have had issues. I understand the anxiety that may happen with the reflux acid issues.

You know I love tacos, enchiladas and nachos. Unfortunately these foods don’t love me back.

I read an article about your state and the population increase. Quite interesting. My husband’s brother and family moved to your state last year and love the warmer temperatures.

I pray you have a restful night of sleep and maybe Amore will sleep beside you and keep you company.

Hugs,

🦋

Re: 💜 Prayers, Positive Thoughts For Tissyanne Please

@butterfly123 ,

Good morning,

I have an appointment tomorrow at 1:00 with my PCP.  I am going to stress the urgency of finding out what is wrong with me, even if I need to be admitted to the hospital.

Whatever is wrong, I need medical care.

I did sleep last night, but woke up very early, and don't feel well at all.

Hugs to you.

Re: 💜 Prayers, Positive Thoughts For Tissyanne Please

@Tissyanne ~ hugs to (((you))) and prayers for your very best care tomorrow. Hopefully once your PCP hears that you've been to the ER due to these awful symptoms... he or she will take this much more seriously.

Out here in VA, as insurers are narrowing their networks and hospitals take ownership of private practices, and accountable care organizations are emerging... referrals are becoming less personal and more random. Even automated. Lacks that vital traditional channel of communication.

If you don't receive the care you need and deserve tomorrow, you can contact your insurance company to complain and request an urgent referral. My DIL has had to do this numerous times, though she already has numerous specialists who treat her for lupus. She turns directly to her insurer's web portal where they handle these emergency situations for her.

@WaJa61 ,

Thank you for this information. I sure hope to get some help tomorrow. The dr that I see as my PCP is in an urgent care center. If you go as a walk in, which is what you must do if you do not have an appointment, you see a different doctor. They rotate taking walk ins. So, I have not been able to see her, and impress my situation. Tomorrow is my appointment with her, so I am ready.

@Tissyanne @WaJa61

Very important information about your insurance company and how they may help you navigate the health system. When DH worked for the last corporation I had one specific person whom I called for help. Our agreement was that I wouldn’t disclose her phone number. She was fantastic and helped immensely with Mayo Clinic’s doctors and staff.

I’m saddened that your sleep is disrupted and minimal. I read your post and felt assured you are ready to speak with your PCP and move the process forward.

I wanted to offer a suggestion please. When you speak to someone in the gastrointestinal field you may want to ask how the acid or specific diagnosis is affecting your weight loss/gain. The reason I mention this is due to the microbiome being off balance and affecting digestion, serotonin levels and a myriad of issues. I offer this suggestion from a place of love and nonjudgmental concern. I do not want to overstep or add stress or tension between us.

You have always been a loving caregiver to your family and friends and my hope is that you receive the loving, compassionate care you deserve. I know, I will be praying, thinking positive thoughts and hoping for the best possible outcome.

Hugs sweet angel on earth,

🦋

I hope your DB was able to move and is happily settling in.

@butterfly123 ,

Thank you. I will be sure and mention my weight to the doctors. I know anything you say to me comes straight from your heart. Thank you for your prayers and concern.

My brother will be here Thursday, just until Sunday. He will be officially moving in the fall.

Good night angel on earth,

Re: 💜 Prayers, Positive Thoughts For Tissyanne Please

     "....just got here- have not been ON since the 20th & 21st if you had read"...

    I had (so far) seen the last five posts, and I mentioned on the 20th- 21st..yes, as @WaJa61  explained:

      ~ in her state you can, as she mentioned, a request to your insurance company you have as a helping option.... as I said by -actually to your primary if she/he is clueless, a SHOT GUN referral that shoots out to MANY specialists in the field of unknown gastric symptoms, @Tissyanne , here in my state.

 We have the state of the art medical trauma/ teaching center, and I do understand not everyone has access to one.

 I will be here all day with my positive thought with you at 1pm your time.

   In my opinion -````best I can say w/o being disappointed, this doc sapped ( from what I have read)  > mental and emotional energy without resulting in any concrete problem-solving strategies or actions unless if you consider her/him passing you on to someone [ out there ] while waiting a very long time. Poor reasoning and sloppy medicine to me.

 It appears that your condition is very similar to a General Anxiety Condition:

    ... that has been treated for 25 years, then stopped too abruptly, and with these families of meds it takes sometimes 2 years to rid the body, but not in yours, due to the reasoning, from the beginning, to have this happen and being treated all these years. Not understood.

  I had hoped that the ER physician did not tribute any of your difficult swallowing to any blockage or obstruction, as seen from xray ....and you can rule that out for now, hopefully,--- Good. Smiley Happy

 I think what the former doctor was thinking that maybe the med you were on was increasing your acid influx, but cannot have reason or rhyme that she/he did not know that years ago.... if it was. No, I don't.

  I have known only one case when this happened but it was very short term and the illness was nothing to do with anything such as yours.

    With a condition as diabetic (1) which you do not have(??) as gastroparesis, the usage of this family of meds relaxes the muscles.

          { On some patients, the opposite.}

      ONE Lower esophageal sphincter valve has become weaken and is not allowing the back flow of acid into the esophagus /throat to pass  back, and as in your issue the acid comes up REMAINS until it burns the wall lining.

 All of these; either otc or scrips proton inhibitors are used for short term with some relief...but so far no answer to why the cause. My opinion.

  I do know that just under 20% of U.S. population experience something like this [gerd] every single day according to a the American College of Gastro. ACG. for reference.

  What affects the mind this abruptly affects the physical.

    TREATABLE:

 Requires a medial diagnosis- no lab work required ( unless doing a cbc, etc. OR for something else.

The upper ENDO will reveal much more. If required. Other digestive organs can be examined, also.

    With GAD, this condition can last for years, or be a life long condition that can be treatable, as you hopefully knew). If the same medical condition?

 Channel- calcium blockers can and often do increase the acid amount.

As mentioned by you the past few days, you always thought - it was Gastroesophagel reflux. AND! I do not doubt that - you know your body.

 By being decreased in your medication, there apparently is an overwhelming fog to a constant interference without the ability to relax ( serotonin balance) to @butterfly123 .

 It is physically exhausting, drains your energy, and interrupts apparent sleep -REM. You have to talk to someone in real life whom you trust that clearly understands, listens and will work with you.

      A chemical imbalance. Apparently.

Physically not feeling well,e.g. heart racing, stomach discomfort, sweating, fidgety, restless, irritable, snappy at people for no reason, easily upset, appetite- none or more.

 From what I have learned and definitely seen in patients: to explain anxiety and those treating anxiety can improve the outcome of some chronic diseases, such as the GI tract problems or some of its symptoms.

 Privacy:

Without answering, I was wondering if this had ever happened to this degree, or close to it?

 hugs, Heart~ keep on looking until you actually find the physician that can address your condition when it seems no one else has.   There has to be a trusted caregiver -physician that in REAL LIFE will listen, work with you and one whom you trust.

hugs, Heart
