    How many hours were you able able to secure last night/ & are you on a 'spcial diet' from THIS _DR._? 

     I just got here, wanting to check if there were some attention from THIS doctor about the apparent gastroenteritis issue with an app't - if that decodes >soon?

    Since I have been out and possibly (hopefully back) in or about 2 hours later..maybe a bit longer, then I will be back. 

  Have there been any other changes since 2-3 days ago?

       Without going into a blood pressure read, is yours where you have pleased with it?

            (((@Tissyanne))).   I just saw this discussion updating the posts from the other thread.   I am so very, very sorry for this pain and distress.   I hope you'll either contact one of your doctors to see you right away or go to an emergency or immediate care facility.   This has been going on for too long.   You've been patient and strong, but now you need and deserve relief and care.   I continue to pray for you and also for medical staff who will step up and take effective and healing action.   (((gentle hugs)))❤️

@NAES1, I only slept about 4 hours last night. It seems the only way to see a gastroenterologist here is by referral, which I have. They did secure an appointment for me today, but not until April 30th. I see my PCP Wednesday next week. I am able to eat and drink. Am eating a bland diet. My immediate issue for some reason as I said is pills. My blood pressure is normal with meds. I take a beta blocker tablet morning, and a calcium channel blocker evening.

No real changes from 2-3 days ago.

 @Tissyanne  how far is the nearest, or better yet have a trauma center from your home?

 There is a referral called Shot Gun referral that sends out 'needs to be seen now'and there's a great chance one has a cancellation, OR an opening. If not, there's the other plan if no one is taking this seriously.  Your physician should be made aware of what is happening now!

 If not, call to speak to the ER head nurse, explain what is happening -and say I need ( NOT I believe- want) to come right now...there is a medication I have to take for hypertension+++ another medication that a doctor gave me for too much acid causing me to struggle to get the pill down...'I feel like the pill will not go down ...and.. I'm afraid it will become STUCK by [trying.]

  If this were me: SAYING: My throat feels very narrow and swollen from the constant acid coming up at differnt times.

This whatever condtion has become worse since (he/she ) gave me the RX for anti acid; it's difficult to lie down and have this acid burning which is causing me to struggle with my needed medication.   

I NEED to have someone in ER see me when I check in.

If a larger hospital, they have someone on call, or can get you to one, OR ....have one there at the hospital.

Take your insurance card - have CC/ $$s for a Co pay- and your ID/ driver's license.

 If the medical secretary at this Dr's office will not/ cannot get you in to the Gastro now, then I suggest you have an alternate plan.

Also, early tomorrow, say the very same thing to this DR's office nurse. You apparently NEED to be seen immediately by a specialist that has experience with Emergencies, GERD or its similarity symptoms.

@Tissyanne … I wonder if your PCP was sure the treatment for the oral thrush completely eliminated it, or just assumed it should have. My mother suffered a severe case of that during cancer treatments. All kinds of medications can cause dry mouth/throat as a side-effect, including hypertension drugs. My mother's thrush did spread to her throat and esophagus, causing burning and an over-active gag reflex. They kept her on pills, an oral rinse and suggested probiotics and yogurt (which she swallowed her pills with). Seems like for around 6-wks. It sure can be nasty and resistant all on its own. She so fears a return of thrush that she stayed on the probiotics and yogurt. She also uses Biotine mouthwash and chews Act moisturizing gum with Xylitol. 

Just a thought, since it seems your throat problems and pill swallowing difficulty seems to have occurred immediately following the thrush. I'm sure your PCP will follow up on Wednesday to be certain it's good and gone. I'd ask that my thyroid be tested, too, if that hasn’t been ruled out.

I'm thankful you're able to stay well hydrated and get your nutrition, but yes, you must be able to take your medications, too - without choking. I hope an earlier appointment will open up through a cancellation. The referral system is such a PITA, I know.

❤️ You're welcome for the info, @Tissyanne. I hope you were able to get more uninterrupted sleep last night. When we can’t rest properly, it just makes everything worse. 11 more days of enduring this, until you can see the specialist, is so unacceptable. Of course you're left to wonder what in the world is wrong. Anyone would be! Maybe your PCP can refer you to another in your plan that can see you sooner. 🙏 I know they're usually booked solid. 

Tablets are dry pills to swallow, but the applesauce should have taken care of that. Clearly something is sending them back up and gagging you. 😟 I know my hernia will do that occasionally, when triggered, with acid reflux that burns. Each time must be pure misery, regardless of the cause. I take my large vitamins with hot tea, coffee, broth or cocoa to help desolve them before they can get stuck. 

Wish I had more advice or better words to comfort you while you wait. But...
