So sorry for what your sister-in-law is going thru and for your husband and you. Have comfort in knowing that her suffering will be over and she will rest in heaven where there is comfort and joy. May God bless her family as well

So sorry to hear this.
Pancreatic cancer is terrible, my father-in-law died from it.

So sorry. This just happened with my husband. The hospice will be able to keep her more comfortable but I can tell you someone with her touching her hand, whispering in her ear, fixing her bed linen, sitting by her reading a book, maybe some soft music is deserved. Try to have someone who loves her near most of the time

I am so very, very sorry and saddened to hear your Dear Deb is going through this @Carmie . Although I can't do more than offer prayers along with everyone else, I hope and pray these combined prayers will be felt by her and your entire family as her Angels and our Lord watch over her at this time. May your husband, family and Deb find needed peace, and may Deb escape from her pain in this new hospice setting.![]()

@matty liz She has three older brothers who are all married, we are a close family. She also has a husband and two married children and two grands.
We are planning take turns sitting with her so she is not alone.
I do know from experience that the dying will often wait until they're alone to pass. My brother passed from cancer at age 51. Someone was always with him, but when his son left to use the rest room, he passed.
There was a lady there playing a harp beside his bed. She was a hospice volunteer. We always say my brother was the king....how many people get to pass with beautiful live music from a harp?
