I am doing fine. It's been just a year since my heart attacks and open heart surgery. I still don't have quite the energy I once had but think it will come in time.
It's been a little over a year since Dad passed. We almost lost Mom a few months ago but after a lengthy stay at hospital due to aspirating pneumonia and loosing much of her blood and 3 weeks in a rehab facility...... she is back to her home and doing for herself again. She will be 89 the 29th of this month. She misses Dad but knows he is so much better off now. Tomorrow we will get the results of DH's blood tests for his prostate cancer. We are crossing our fingers those numbers haven't gone up. He doesn't want any more treatments. Please say a prayer if you think of him.
I hope you are doing well. I remember all the support you gave me during these last rough years. So many people here, whether they agree with you or not, come out of the woodwork to support you in the hard times. I can't tell you how grateful I am for them all. I appreciate them all. I don't keep up here like I would like to. I have several other issues I am facing besides the heart so bear with me! And like my mother always says, "Keep Sweet". I know that won't be hard for you!! HUGS right back at you.

How wonderful to hear from you~ I had missed you so very much, even though I am not here that often, I always read your supportive words to lift anyone up. You have a very close mindset as does with @possummink.
Both of you have a rare distinct personality of quality and positive interactions for each person, as though that person is the most important one whom you are speaking to.
"I have always thought that I shall come across the same way, or say nothing".
I remembered it like yesterday when you had that unfortunate heart attack, when your father was being overlooked while in the nursing facility ...and how you fought to have him transferred.
Thank you for the update of your mother- I did not know she had been that seriously ill. Giving thanks to God that she is much better.
As with many who have been through many health issues and trails of sorrow and grief, there is always that Safe Faith we count upon.
I cannot agree more with you about the well meaning helpful posters that do come and give everyone their best thoughts, having prayer for weeks. I was one when you were so very ill and quite shocked that you had the 2nd heart attack after entering the hospital.
There are many angels before us when we least expect anything other than what frightening effect lies before us.
Jubilant, it will take time to recuperate, maybe not as strong as once, but very well-...` having more stamina.
I am so very glad with your health outcome- that was very serious. as you knew.
Husband: I am involved in a study of the prostate, along with the psa +Gleason score numbers, so please brief me when the blood work does come back.
I am wondering if your "H" had the seeds, or a complete removal of the gland.
`Totally surprised:: ````I had not seen Absolutely 'any' news of that health issue. Surely, I had missed that completely. I would have been there with some information.
I am sending -TO- my prayer group with your husband's illness within a prayer group. Rest easy and know that if caught early, there is great strides in eradicating this.
REMINDER TO EVERYONE: The [[[ psa ]]] is very important to have checked.
The age group, 10 years ago, to be checked - WAS at age 50, now it is 40 or under. IT is JUST THAT important.
Being kind is so easy, that is why I am always wondering why so many have their views SET to go the other direction?
Sending a hug and know that you are on your way for new horizons. here's a BIG
for you.

Thank you @jubilant.
I did want you to know that my father had his removed in his late 60s and did great. He was walking well within a few days.

There have been so many posters whom have either stopped posting, become quite ill, having illnesses or personal respectived recuperating, or have left for personal reasons.
It is now disheartening to learn why some are no longer present. I do understand that we do have memories, or have learned many cannot be here.
Those are the ones I know, having been closer to for over 7 years. ![]()

This is in response to my husbands blood tests that you were interested in. He had his prostate surgically removed in 2012 due to prostate cancer. Last year his psa's jumped up to .04. His doctor appointment today shows he is now at a .09. The doctor was concerned that it had gone up that much in just 4 months. The doctor said he would probably need to give him another shot of Firmagon. He hates that shot and the side effects he has had from it for most of this past year. His last shot was about a year ago and he still has side effects. He didn't mind the radiation although it did leave him tired. DH told him today that he didn't want another shot so they made an appointment to see him in 4 months and see where he is at then and go from there.
