Pittsburgh Symphony on strike ...

but instead of picketing they are instead playing concerts all over the city in public parks - street corners - all kinds of places for free. Originally they were playing outside their concert hall - Heinz Hall - but management kicked them out of there so they are now just various places around the city. Very cool.Pittsburgh is historically a labor town so the musicians have tremendous support.

That's good of them - free concerts, presumably courting public support.  The Philadelphia Orchestra ended its strike Sunday, only two days after it started.

They may get some people who previously were not interested in classical music to become interested.

Or it could be the opposite.  Maybe people who would have PAID to hear them play now don't have to because they can hear them for free.  So attendance might be down when they start to perform again.  Just sayin....
