Re: Pickle Ball and How Annabelle's brain works.

I have friends who winter in Florida and he always talked about playing pickleball.  That was the first I heard of it.   So a couple years ago my grandson and I went to camp together and they had a class in pickleball which we took.  I was able to hit the ball but it seems to have a lot of rules and there was no way my grandson and I could remember them all in one class.

@Annabellethecat66 @I live in South Florida. Many of the over 55 communities have pickle ball. I don't live in one but have friends who do and they love pickle ball. Kind of a less strenuous game of tennis.

And in Arizona.  The game supposedly originated in WA state.

@tansy @Annabellethecat66  Tansy is right, it originated here.

A few weeks ago the magazine supplement to the Seattle Times had a lengthy article and interviews with the folks who invented . Most interesting.

Oh my gosh Annabellethecat, you gave me my laugh of the day, thank you, thank you, thank you.  I still don't know what Pickle Ball is and you know what?  I really don't care, and I have the feeling you don't either.

Re: Pickle Ball and How Annabelle's brain works.

We've been playing pickleball since we retired and moved to southeastern North Carolina over two years ago from Northern Virginia.  It's so much fun, we love it!  It's really big here and all the more active adults play it in our community.  I play 3-5 times a week as does DH but he plays golf too.  I just got a set of golf clubs and will be taking lessons.  We wanted a different lifestyle for our retirement years and we are having a ball, literally and figuratively!  We spend the majority of our time outside, the reason we moved from Northern Virginia.  Luckily we can handle the heat & the humidity in the summer and we are able to play pickleball and golf through the winter.  Moving from Northern VA was the best thing we ever did!
