Reach out.  Exactly what does that mean?  Can't they just say, contacted, emailed, called, etc?  You don't reach out to someone unless you are in arms length away.

So many of these overused and trite phrases are essentially courtesy of the ad industry... The very same ad industry that has virtually ruined television and radio... As I said elsewhere, for all these disingenuous buzz phrases, so many others over the years, for tiresome and annoying commercials of all types and for a vast number of so many other reasons, the ad industry has long made my hot list for being among the very lowest of the bottom feeders...

1000% agree!! Commercials and ads these days are the worst of the worst.

"new normal"

"we are all in this together"

I dislike when hosts refer to objects, especially handbags as "she".

Also, not a fan of adding "yay" to words or cutesy abbreviations like "vacay".

All of them!!!!!

I especially hate that every commercial has now turned into this/that company is "there for us", "understand what we're going thru", "here to help"...

We don't have to be reminded "things will get better" as prices of everything begin to skyrocket🙄

So true.. And the new low is the one that appeared last night from one of the TP companies, announcing that they know there have been shortages (duh) and they're pledging to ensure there's enough to go around... And they've even 'partnered' with the United Way to ensure those who need them the most are addressed... SAY WHAT... Guess what Cottenelle, the need for TP is universal... There is no 'those who need us the most'... This has to be the DUMBEST statement yet... Just produce the TP and stop trying to sound like you're the second coming of Mother Teresa...

Yeah, and we're supposed to be more than an arm's length away, anyway. :-)

Tired of hearing,"Spring has sprung".

When I lose the TV controller, it's always in some remote destination.
